What We Do

The Washington Statewide Family Engagement Center (WASFEC), led by Education Northwest, collaborates with partners to enhance family engagement efforts statewide through a five-year federal grant.

Our Mission

WASFEC's mission is to foster full and equitable partnerships among families, educators, providers, and communities to support learners' development from birth through college and career. We work with families, not just for them.

Building Bridges

WASFEC connects expertise and resources to bridge the gap between the statewide vision and its practical implementation, focusing on evidence-based approaches to family engagement.

Promoting Equity and Success

Family engagement promotes equity by recognizing diverse family types, embracing a multi-generational perspective, and demonstrating cultural and linguistic competency and responsiveness.
